The Association was formed in 1982. The name of the organisation is Enfield Cypriots Association (ECA) and is a voluntary unincorporated association. It is run by an elected Management Committee. The Association works for the benefit of all Cypriots of Enfield. The Association is unique in that it spans all age groups from all Cypriot communities and its work covers a broad range of services, events and activities. The Association draws its membership and Management Committee members from both communities of Cyprus (Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots), spanning the first, the second as well as the third generation. The Association and its activities have grown significantly in recent years. This has been recognised by the Council and is reflected in the successive increase of funding it has granted over the last few years. The Association is a member of the following organisations:

The Enfield Cypriots Association aims to maintain and develop cultural traditions and identity as well as to improve the quality of life of the members of the Cypriot community in the London Borough of Enfield by promoting the relief of poverty and advancement of education, social welfare and physical and mental health. Furthermore, the Association also aims to integrate the Cypriot community within the wider Enfield community. In essence the Association strives to provide services not adequately covered by the Council, or other Cypriot organisations in the Borough of Enfield. This is achieved by offering in an organised manner Advice, Support and Information, taking into consideration the sensitivities and needs of the Cypriot community, on the following:
